Firstly , I knew team work was going to be a problem and same for having everyone team work and having a positive attitude was going to be troublesome. As I knew what my mother taught me as she a camper a few year and still counting. So as everyone started complaining about is going to be boring and tiring and so on , I look it as a positive way , which it includes the hardest thing , teamwork. As for all 5 days in Pulau ubin and 1 night in Ketam, we had alot of team building games and alot of ice breaker games , which makes us more familiar with each other over lunch and dinner. As we need to build tents and having us belayed on the first and following day, everything need team work , if there is no team work , nothing can be done. 

Secondly, Determination was the 2nd key besides teamwork, we had to track down hill and up hill even though it was more then 6 KM and plus we did not even complete the course. But after all the jokes,mitchelling and singing that are happening with the sweeper , which is me , is bring up the spirit at the back to make them move forward. We have map reading and cause we lost many compass, we only have to base on one. Which was very bad. We need to put our trust on leaders to lead us through. We reach the peak of the highest point in pulau ubin which bring a great achievement on everyone's face. As everyone was tired, we sat down and we saw the other team and cheer each other up by a hug? bread? biscuits? It all brings back to a smile.

Thirdly, having from frowns to smiles along the way , getting to sleep from the 2 day onwards. Everyone had a great fun though it was tiring , dirty and very stinky. As we knew is going to be only 5 days. And having to remember home and things that we took for granted so easily. Examples, Air con, Bed, nighties, PJs, Teevee, Computer, HP , Chips. Even the smallest thing of brushing teeth was treasured. As there was not enough time to brush teeth, eat etc. Though everyone was unhappy , we enjoyed at some point in time when everyone was mitchelling? Wanting to go home? or even better, being like Lee jia le, rubs his eyes and planning to get it red by rubbing every ten seconds and going around asking is my eye red? I guess he misses home as much as I do. 

While all the fun is taking place, all the insects bites and other bites, seeing wild boar giving chase to instructor, cause of people going to disturb it. And seeing having trouble to pitch up tent and unhelpful people in our team , we have to work it out with the more entu people. Getting jobs done as fast as possible. And complains are heard, complains are made, which makes things very difficult for the leader s to handle. but all it lies which the mind and the body. 

So in conclusion, we enjoyed our stay as we already passed OBS! We train ourselves to be tougher and more helpful . building positive thinking around the whole team , the best to KIT is to call and remember what has been done during the 5 precious days with out your precious things and only depending on precious friends, think about it . Who is a most trustable friend and the most reliable friend you made. This may carry you for one day, but is already part of your life! HAPPY MITCHELLING!






In 2011, Xin Yi completed another OBS course, A leader's journey for the youth. Basically is marine expedition. Isnt the same as the previous, though, previously it was in my comfort zone.

Today is the first dayh of obs and out group name is called Barker <3. Instructor name : Kai Yong. He is a friendly guy. I thought I was the oldest, but however there was this guy called Gavin aged of 18. Our team is fun, cooperative, There were Jing Yi, Aisha, Andrea, KaiRu, Raja, Wulan, Jerome, Nick, LukMan, Song Jie, Petrina, jasmine, Zong Han. Charlotte is here too!! (not in my group) But I am excited for OBS


today is the 2nd day, and first day of marine, 3Km was not a bad excerise to punggol beach, and we drew lots for angels and mortals, I got Raja,He is quite a friendly person, sometimes touchy, and always lifting up the team spirit. I do have a little reddishand I wish for sun burn. I learn to capsize with spray skirts on. and my partner is wulan, she is a mix :) Hope to know everyone else better, and I love my group, cloud , storm, norm, perform.


today is the 2nd dayh of kayaking. and today is 14 km, wind and waves was in our side and direction, and we only took 3h15mins, and we are great and we had a great time, Travelling at a very fast speed. 3hours of rain when we landed, and we bonded, build sandcastle, with pot. and cleared up chocked up shits that was in the toilet, GREAT JOB BARKER GIRLS! And everyone is so open up now :) and today I am in changji beach, to serve, to strive and not to yield. We had a great time management test.


today is the 3rd day of kayaking, 4th day of obs, 18 km.  back to campus 1. And we done about 30 km tgt. Anyway, now barker ios quite bonded. and I got my first two injuries. and it hurts. and my mens started. sucks. and we had a nice bath. we did skit, sad stories , pretty fun and gloomy, and I shared about grandpa dream that haunted me for years, and school cca. Kai Yong has nice legs but a wonderful accident. Played with water while packing. Jerome has nice lips and I seem to slim down. obs is one of the fastest way to slim down, and Jasmine became close to me. I love barker :)


last day of obs, we did jetty jump :) AHAHS, maybe 15 secs and i am off. :) and now we are back in singapore! THANK YOU BARKER! I REALLY LOVE YOU GUYS FOR THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART! <3

Hey, I really dont know whats my love life now. I am confused. I only believe in love will come to me soon, and I wont need to find love. It will come to me. okays I shall continue believing in that. Idk why am I posting this..AIYAH WHATEVER ALR. Many people thinks that love comes by easily, fight for it, you deserved it. Now, I think, love doesnt come easily. You need an understanding person, caring person, loving person, able to read your mind? LOLS!
I was drunk the entire night! Class chalet(31OCT-2NOV)
On the 31Oct-1Nov.. I literally drunk, is my first time drinking, I drank 5 shots and I KO! Puke twice. and felt totally SICK AND UNWELL! Anyway, is totally caos, I was stuck on the stairs for 2 hours, and I DRANK JACK DANIELS!!! OMGOSH, TOTALLY MEDICINE TASTE.. BEER TASTE BETTER I PROMISE.. :) Thank Hubert for helping me for the past five hours of drunkard state. Anyway, I lost in a game, then I went laughing laughing and screaming.. LOLS! DAMN EPIC AND I CALLED RANDALL, SMS JIA YI.. MY GOSH!!! Promise I will never drink again! :)
